Nasty Odor in Dayton Family’s Home

The mold removal specialists at SERVPRO engaged in a sudden need for mold removal in the family room of a home located in Dayton, Ohio. Unknown to the family, mold had grown from a loose pipe above the family room, spreading above the ceiling. While some damage is impossible to ignore, some damage can just as easily slip past as a damp carpet or leaky spot in the ceiling. Fortunately enough, a smell emitting from the mold caught these homeowners’ attention. Despite the common mistake of disregarding foul odors as more temporary issues, this particular family had a sense to contact odor removal professionals just to be safe. Starting with rug and ceiling removal, the team was able to analyze the issue and head in with a well-planned removal of all the mold. Within hours of the initial call, the project was underway to restore the home to its’ usual smell. Having dehumidifiers, tools, and cords from any contractor taking up space for too long in a home can take away from the relief of coming home from school, work, or a pleasant day out. That’s why SERVPRO plans their project for maximum efficiency, whether it includes rug cleaning, mold clean up, or odor removal. In addition to restoring the quality of the home, restoring the lack of stress about home ownership provides an example of the customer service that is given in stressful situations like this one. The goal of  SERVPRO is to make it “Like it never even happened,” and this is just one of many examples of how that gets done for anyone who services SERVPRO for their restoration needs.

A big source of stress in modern times is safety. Safety concerns the food we eat, the chemicals used in a variety of areas of our lives, and the quality of the air we breathe. On the bright side, we have a say in whether or not we accept low quality products. In terms of our home and the safety we can control within it, air duct cleaning is a safe and sure way to help with at least one of our many stressors as homeowners in 2019. The collection of dust in air ducts affects us in ways we can’t see. We might not have a physical reaction to such a slow build up of dust either, and that’s the importance of checking to make sure we know the quality of our own air. Being that air is the unnoticeable resource, save for changing the internal temperature of our homes to match our preferences, it’s common to forget that the air we breathe is like the water and electricity that runs our homes. Just as we have standards for our electricity and water, we should also have standards for the air that circulates through our homes. That’s why air duct cleaning and dust clean up are particularly helpful to all homeowners. SERVPRO understands the mechanics of air duct cleaning, and incorporated with their understanding customer service, all the answers needed to ensure the safety of your home is within reach. Air duct cleaning is an important part of maintaining a steady and safe home environment for any type of family or home. Home is a sanctuary where we can spend time with those we love the most and relax from the work we do to keep our homes running, so why wouldn’t we ensure that we trust the quality of every aspect of our home?
